Location: Fanny Bay, British Columbia.

I’m Cole Wilde. I’m a certified sea kayak guide with the SKGABC (Sea Kayak Guides Association of BC) as well as a Level 2 Paddle Canada instructor. Over the last four years I’ve been exploring my passion for sea kayaking from two ends of the globe. My summer months have been spent exploring the beautiful coastlines along Vancouver Island BC, and my winter months have been spent guiding in the Chilean Patagonia where I have had amazing opportunities to connect with locals and expedition into some incredible areas, such as Tierra Del Fuego, the Rio Santa Cruz and many glaciers along the Southern Patagonia Icefield.

My real passion lays at the intersection of where travel meets sea kayaking; that’s where I uncovered the TRAK and felt the limitations of the traditional fixed hull kayak fade away. I am extremely excited to take my TRAK 2.0 on all of my international adventures as it is the ultimate vehicle for doing this.

Over the last couple years, I’ve been working alongside TRAK to develop their concept of an online learning platform to allow purchasers of the TRAK 2.0 to gain confidence and competence in their new boat. It is a personal goal of mine to break down the process of executing these international expeditions so that I can educate others how to open up their own opportunities.

We get one life - let's live it unleashed!

Take your skills to the next level by joining me on one my Skill Progression Camps in the Gulf Island Series and look out for an upcoming Patagonia expedition in 2021! See you on the water amigos!

We often hear that the paddle doesn't roll a kayak, we do. The same applies to turning the kayak. We, the paddler, are directly connected to the kayak and it's our body movement which provides the control.

The better the fit, the better the control, and therefore, the better the...
