Leo Hoogenboom

Leo Hoogenboom

Leo has spent most of his life island based. He was born and raised on a small island outside of Amsterdam and later moved to the Caribbean to work as a dive instructor. From childhood, Leo has been enjoying time on the water swimming, kayaking, sailing, free diving and eventually becoming an accomplished diver specialising in free diving as well as mixed gas and rebreather diving. When Leo is not diving, he spends his days, crafting personalized itineraries for his adventure travel clients. Through his travel company, FLOW, he has been guiding guests for over a decade in the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia.

“The versatility of TRAK kayaks allows FLOW to integrate them in nearly any itinerary. Prior to using Trak kayaks we were often limited by local resources - we’re now only limited by our imagination.”

Leo believes that life starts when we leave our comfort zone and push our limits. He now spends most of his time in Norway enjoying an environment where he is able to continue challenging himself both in the ocean and in the mountains. When Leo is not guiding or teaching, he is exploring historical shipwrecks beyond 100m on his rebreather.
