Lori Paddles Dominica's Waitukubuli Sea Trail

Lori Paddles Dominica's Waitukubuli Sea Trail

Waitukubuli means "tall is her body" and this sea trail is considered the Caribbean’s first dedicated sea kayaking route—stretching nearly 40 miles along the west coast.

The trail encompasses 14 stages, featuring sculpted cliffs, quaint fishing villages, secluded beaches, and enticing snorkeling spots. Strategically placed rest stops cater to overnight stays. Local outfitters provide equipment rentals for experienced sea kayakers and organize guided multi-day expeditions for beginners.

Earlier this year friend of TRAK, Lori, shared a fantastic recounting of her incredible adventure in Dominica, paddling the Waitukubuli Sea Trail in a TRAK 2024 Kayak. We've included an excerpt from her story, but check out the full article on her site!

"As part of my new TRAK kayak purchase, I also signed up for one of their kayaking trips. I’d decided after Norway that my next kayaking adventure would be somewhere tropical! It would also be great experience with the TRAK kayak before I get mine in the spring. Dominica is home to the Waitukubuli Sea Trail, and we’d be guided by Wes and Kerry who pioneered this trail about a year and a half ago. The Waitukubuli Sea Trail is considered the Caribbean’s first dedicated sea kayaking route – stretching nearly 40 miles along the west coast."
