What is the expected retail price for TRAK 2.0 Ultimate Touring Kayak?
The MSRP (retail) is expected to be $3,599 US Dollars (USD) and approximately € 3690 (EUR), including VAT in Europe (depending on importing costs and VAT rates in various jurisdictions). For worldwide purchases through TRAK’s online store, all prices and sales at checkout are in USD but for convenience, our website will display currency equivalents (see top menu, upper right) in Canadian Dollars (CAD), Australian Dollars (AUD), Great Britain Pounds (GBP), Euros (EUR) or Japanese Yen (JPY).
What is included in the price?
The retail price includes:
To honor our ongoing commitment to make our kayaks accessible, we have created these options to pre-purchase the TRAK 2.0 Ultimate Touring Kayak *:
* Note that orders received after August 11, 2017 and before September will be included in our next run of TRAK 2.0 production to be delivered in April 2018, and at the best price (before the price will increase in the fall of 2017).
How do these options work?
We created these options to give prospective TRAK owners some alternatives to secure their order and pay over time for their purchase. The pre-order deposit* is $1,500 USD, paid directly to TRAK at checkout. This will place your kayak order in our system. TRAK will commence production in fall of 2017, and expect delivery on this batch of production in April 2018. The order can be delivered to you directly or to your local kayak dealer; you choose.
After completing your Pre-Order Deposit and prior to shipping, you will have two options to complete your purchase:
How does the TRAK no fees financing plan work?
After paying your Pre-order Deposit of US$1,500, TRAK’s purchase financing plan is 20 equal monthly installments of $100 US dollars. The first monthly installment will be charged on the delivery date. Each subsequent monthly installment payment shall become due and payable on the monthly anniversary of the delivery date. The balance can be paid out at anytime without penalty.
Dealers or TRAK Pilots?
Dealers are retailers who own stores with other paddling accessories and may offer other services like tours and instruction. TRAK Pilots are independent representative agents (owner ambassadors) who may provide local or virtual sales support. To find Authorized TRAK Dealers or TRAK Pilots, please visit our Find TRAK Map or Contact Us.
How long is the delivery time?
General delivery time is approximately 2 business days for delivery in the USA, and 2-5 business days for Canada. For orders outside North America, the delivery time is approximately 5-7 business days for shipping using FedEx International Economy Air or through local couriers in Europe. It is expected that orders from Europe (and other jurisdictions like Switzerland) will be shipped in bulk into that jurisdiction and imported by TRAK, then sent via local courier to the customer’s home address.
Who is our shipping partner?
What are the shipping charges?
Shipping – USA
For the TRAK 2.0 Ultimate Touring Kayaks, we offer free shipping & handling into the lower 48 States in the USA via FedEx Air Economy. The delivery time is approximately 2-4 business days. If ordering only accessories, there are economical shipping and handling charges for those items.
Shipping – Canada
For the TRAK 2.0 Ultimate Touring Kayaks, we offer free shipping in Canada via FedEx Ground Economy. The delivery time is approximately 2-5 business days. If ordering only accessories, there are economical shipping and handling charges for those items.
In markets where we have no dealers or distributors or where the dealer is having TRAK dropship your kayak, we charge based on the region via FedEx International Economy. The costs can range from $145-$295 USD per kayak, and the customer may be responsible for customs, duties, imports and taxes in your jurisdiction or country. Ask about this for your particular country of destination. Again, it is expected that TRAK 2.0 pre-orders from Europe (and other jurisdictions like Switzerland) will be shipped in bulk into that jurisdiction and imported by TRAK, then sent via local courier to the customer’s home address, with no customs charges or hassle to the customer.
Why do we require a tax identification or social security number to ship into the United States?
It is a way for US Customs/DHS to know about items that are more than $2,000 USD in value entering the country. It is required by them, but is only "for the records". It will not cost you any duty to import, and the custom fee is covered by TRAK!
