If you'd asked me five years ago where I'd be today, I honestly wouldn't have expected to be here, paddling along some of the most beautiful coastlines, becoming an instructor and guide, actually managing to roll a kayak.
And yet, here I am...
Als ich nach einer Karriere in der Softwareentwicklung und nachdem ich mich die meiste Zeit meines Lebens nur gelegentlich mit Outdoor-Aktivitäten beschäftigt hatte, überlegte, welchen neuen Weg ich einschlagen sollte, beschloss ich, den Sprung in eine neue Karriere im Outdoor-Bereich zu wagen. Nach einem intensiven Outdoor-Führungstraining (dem dreimonatigen COLT-Programm) auf Vancouver Island im Jahr 2017 begann ich als Kajakführer und -lehrer und später als Skilehrer in Vancouver.
Duncan lebt in North Vancouver und hat im Laufe der Jahre zahlreiche neue TRAK-Besitzer bei verschiedenen Veranstaltungen unterstützt. Er genießt es, mit seinem TRAK auf den Gulf Islands und in der Desolation Sound seine eigenen Abenteuer zu erleben und sich so von seinen Pflichten als medizinischer Fachmann zu erholen.
