Like for all of us, life takes unexpected turns, and the art of crafting something valuable out of every turn we take and each wave we ride has become one of my passionate goals in life. From a very young age I have always loved the outdoors, but really discovered my sense of living life in the natural world when I started travelling about five years ago. Pretty soon into my travels, a deer friend introduced me to paddling and I got to experience my first sea kayaking adventures. We explored beaches and coastlines, witnessed the most beautiful sunsets, and were occasionally accompanied by curious seals and hunting killer whales. It was exhilarating!

I have had the privilege of meeting so many amazing and inspiring people during my travels, many of them paddlers sharing their adventures and teaching me the craft of sea kayaking, and life in general. I got into Greenland kayaking and rolling pretty quick after starting my paddling journey, and I love the feel of a Greenland Paddle and the effortless movement it makes as I paddle my TRAK through the water, be it on the local lake, or on the ocean. This unique combination of performance and portability is what drew me towards the TRAK 2.0 in the first place and is what enables me to live a passionate life connected with the water.

Safety has always been one of my highest priorities and interests, and I see it as a personal challenge to be prepared and educated about the environment I’m paddling in, as much for personal safety as for the unique ecosystem we live in and get to explore every day. I believe that by getting more people out on the water, we can make a real, positive impact on nurturing nature back to health, as much as impacting our own mental and physical health by letting the water and the waves guide our movements, also known as the Blue Mind effect, and I am a strong advocate for this.

If you feel you’d like to give it a try, want to know a bit more about the set up process, or have questions on how I travel around with the TRAK, please feel free to reach out or book a test paddle. I’d be happy to connect and show you around the TRAK!
