Canada - Sea Kayak Level-2 Skills

Thomas hails from France, but now resides in and paddles out of Toronto. He was looking for a solution to the compact lifestyle that goes hand in hand with living in a major city, and landed on the TRAK 2.0 as the solution.

Thomas was immediately drawn to the TRAK Pilot program and had intentions to join as soon as he received his kayak. Flying to Vancouver Island in the summer of 2021 marked his first experiences with the TRAK team, as he received Pilot training from the HQ staff and explored the waters near Nanaimo. This was a very memorable occasion for Thomas, the TRAK Team, and other Pilots who joined in on his trip to British Columbia.

Sharing the experience of kayaking, and helping others explore this unique boat for themselves is very rewarding for him. Thomas frequently provides TRAK 2.0 test paddles out of the Toronto area (during the warmer months!), and has also shared his knowledge by taking a leadership role on a few TRAK trips.

Thomas is working towards more certifications that will enable him to take on more leadership opportunities, and keep paying his own TRAK experience forward to a global community of eager paddlers.

The better the fit, the better the control, and therefore, the better the...

Plane. Paddle. Paradise: Last-Minute Escape to the Bahamas

With roughly a week's notice, a TRAK 2.0, a pair of paddles, and a willingness to improvise, I turned an ordinary week into a spontaneous escape to Great Exuma, Bahamas. It was a reminder of what folding expedition kayaks do best: remove logistical barriers, make last-minute travel possible, and transform...
