Meet Oğuzhan (Osi) Durmuş—a passionate paddler, adventure guide, and nature lover from Kaş, Turkey. With over 16 years of sea kayaking experience, he has devoted his life to exploring the water and sharing his love for paddling.

The sea is where Osi feels most at home. Whether paddling solo or guiding beginners, he enjoys reading the waves, finding the best routes through the surf, and exploring rocky coastlines. One day, he hopes to paddle alongside orcas, sea lions, and whales for an even closer connection with nature.

Osi started kayaking at 16 and quickly worked his way up from assistant to lead guide for an adventure company named Dragoman in Kaş. With over 13 years of experience leading tours, he has safely guided groups of up to 50 people. Mostly self-taught, he has also trained with a BCU instructor and holds a sea kayak tour leader certification from the Turkish Canoe Federation.

But Osi’s love for adventure goes beyond kayaking. He is also an experienced guide in coasteering, mountain biking, hiking, and canyoning—if it’s outdoors, he’s in! He also enjoys sharing his paddling skills online, especially techniques like the kayak roll, helping others gain confidence on the water.
