For many years kayaking was something for me that I'd only do in a double, worrying about my strength to handle a kayak on my own. Until I finally tried and learned about the fun and agility of a single kayak. Now you really have to beg me to go in a double... I fell in love with sea kayaking in Southern Patagonia on the Grey Lake in Torres del Paine and so decided to do the trainings and become a sea kayak guide of British Columbia! Had a wonderful season on gorgeous Quadra Island and around Vancouver Island. The TRAK kayak gives me the chance to keep exploring wherever I want to, back home in Europe as well as anywhere else on the world, and discover remote places and be in nature, what I love the most - and furthermore it's incredibly responsive which makes it really fun to kayak.

Viele Jahre lang war Kajakfahren für mich etwas, das ich nur im Zweier gemacht habe – aus Sorge, nicht stark genug für ein Einer zu sein. Bis ich es schließlich einfach ausprobiert und entdeckt habe, wie viel Freude die Wendigkeit eines Einer-Kajaks bringt... Heute muss man mich schon überreden, überhaupt noch in ein Zweier zu steigen.
Meine Begeisterung für das Seekajakfahren begann in Südpatagonien, auf dem Grey Lake im Torres-del-Paine-Nationalpark. Diese Erfahrung hat mich so geprägt, dass ich mich entschlossen habe, die Trainings zu absolvieren und Seekajak-Guide in British Columbia zu werden. Ich hatte eine großartige Saison auf der wunderschönen Quadra Island und rund um Vancouver Island.
Mit dem TRAK Kajak habe ich die Möglichkeit, überall dort weiter auf Entdeckungstour zu gehen, wo es mich hinzieht – sowohl hier in Europa als auch weltweit. Es erlaubt mir, abgelegene Orte zu erkunden und ganz nah an der Natur zu sein – genau das, was ich am meisten liebe. Außerdem ist es wahnsinnig reaktionsfreudig, was das Kajaken besonders schön macht.
