Originally from the US but now based in the Netherlands, Liz Drotos and Brian Wright have answered a question that has had outdoor enthusiasts scratching their heads for years: combining bicycle touring with sea kayaking in one self contained set-up.

Their ambitious journey has revolved around connecting people and the environments around them. As educators, their passion has brought them around the world, meeting with teachers and families from all over.

In a place like The Netherlands where bicycling is the default transportation, Brian wondered if he could combine his love of kayaking with the freedom of bicycling. This led him to the process of developing an ingenious transport and storage system using the Bike Friday PakIT folding bicycle, a Radical Designs trailer, and his TRAK 2.0.

Exceptionally interesting project. I was wondering if it will be possible to track your TRAK 2 + BIKE world expedition. I would like to meet you somewhere along the Italian Mediterranean coast, where I have I live and had paddled from Ventimiglia, along the coast to the the Elbe Island. I just bought a TRAK 2 kayak. I will do the launching of the new kayak in Camogli, Italy.
