On Remembrance Day, we acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who served their country and acknowledge our responsibility to work for the peace they fought hard to achieve.
Throughout our country's history, the selfless sacrifice of our heroic service members has enshrined in us the freedoms we enjoy today. These rights and our way of life continue to be safeguarded by sacrifices throughout our country by countless community members.
We often take for granted our shared values, our institutions, the freedom to participate in political and cultural events, and to travel this incredible land we call home. Remembrance Day is an opportunity for us all to honour the sacrifices of the past and of tomorrow, and a calling for us to uphold those values and freedoms in our own communities.
The price paid is not without lasting effects for many, and so we recognize the continued work to support those who have sacrificed for our liberty and values. We believe deeply in the healing power of the paddle, and it is our mission to help everyone experience the peace and wellness that comes from spending time on the water.
This Remembrance Day, TRAK will remember and honour the hundreds of thousands who have given selflessly throughout our country's history, and to highlight the incredible work being done today by groups such as Team River Runners. Their work to help rehabilitate veterans through the power of the paddle is an example of the continued work being done, and an example for us to follow.
