In February we teamed up with Ocean River Sports in Victoria to bring legendary Canadian writer, film maker and explorer Frank Wolf in to give a presentation of Two Coasts, One Season: Kayak Adventures on the outer edges of British Columbia and Labrador.
We had a packed house to hear about his Laxmoon and Tongait expeditions. You may remember Laxmoon from last spring, when he solo paddled the 400km along BC's outer coast between Prince Rupert and Bella Bella - after flying his TRAK kayak up from his home in Vancouver.
For Tongait, he and three other intrepid explorers paddled 800km along Labrador, Canada's primordial northern coast. Battling ice flows and polar bears, two truly iconic adventures.
Frank filled the Oak Bay Marina for his talk, and we've included a video below for those of you who couldn't join us. Watch to the end for his announcement of where he's paddling a TRAK 2.0 in 2024. It's a little bit of a different trip for him...
Do you want to try a TRAK 2.0 for yourself? The newly released 2024 edition is the best one yet. With improved polyurethane skin and upgraded aluminum tubes, it's lighter, faster and stronger than any TRAK before.
Book your Test Paddle, or visit Ocean River if you're in Victoria!
Special thanks to TRAK Pilot Sandy Gibson for the footage.
