Whenever I paddle with people who have never seen a TRAK, I receive compliments about its sleek lines and stylish colors. Some tell me it looks really fast. Quite a few are surprised to learn I’m paddling a folding kayak. I enjoy showing off its performance and durability and explaining how it packs down into a travel bag.

That’s why I became a TRAK Pilot. As an ACA instructor and trip leader in Wisconsin and northern Great Lakes, it’s a kick for me to help people broaden their horizons with new skills, new gear and new destinations. Not only does it fit with my approach to kayak instruction, TRAK also fulfills my personal “camper quest” to take the sea kayak lifestyle on the road in our motorhome so my wife and I can discover new bodies of water to paddle.
