After 12 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, Cornel made a career switch into the outdoors and found himself in the Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training Program (COLT) at Strathcona Park Lodge on Vancouver Island. It was here where he discovered his passion for everything paddling. From paddling solo in a canoe on a glassy lake, running swift and winding rivers, or sea kayaking amongst the sea otters and whales. Having paddled on Canada's west coast and in the Yukon, Cornel now looks forward to exploring the rugged and wild coastlines of Lake Superior and starting his guiding career, sharing his love for the outdoors and being on the water with others.
