      Kerry Alleyne

Kerry Alleyne is a Dominican kayaker who started paddling in his teenage years. Back then, Dominica had a popular kayak race scene with sit-on-tops and traditional canoes. He has always been a force to contend with when it comes to speed on a kayak. He was a kayak/snorkel guide for many years which transitioned into marine conservation work as a warden with the Soufriere Marine Reserve. Currently, Kerry is the Chief Warden at the Marine Reserve and Lead Kayak Guide at the Soufriere Outdoor Centre. He was part of the duo to first circumnavigate Dominica by modern sea kayak in 2021.

He lives a life unleashed as seen in his culinary skills, love of adventure, and endless entertaining stories! Kerry is a skilled Lionfish hunter and does his part to keep the invasive population down. Kerry thoroughly enjoys providing visitors with an authentic Dominican experience, on and off the water. His goal is to help you fall in love with the charm and beauty of Dominica.

        Chelsea Josue

“It was very exciting to be around such a culture of people and find myself on the open waters of the wild pacific coast with such an inviting and welcoming group, in these amazing high-performance kayaks. Never in my wildest dreams would those few basic skills that we learned on the first day, would progress to where we went today.”

        Natalie Kelly

“That was really fun. He just broke it down… It’s funny when you have someone take the time to go through things that might be natural. He broke down the surf process into little bitty pieces that made me way more comfortable. I would have never just dove in and done that on my own.”
